Recently discovered a quaint, very sunny, child-like colored nook of pasta and ice cream eatery within RCBC food court. Tutti Dolce’s color and name itself connotes a happy outlook.
Given this place is quite new and it is the first time I’ve heard of it, I’m giving it my reasonable, if not patronizing review due to my good mood.
Checking its menu, Tutti Dolce holds a resemblance to Amici’s cuisine, but of simpler nature and presentation.
I noticed only one person handled the orders, the cash and the scooping of the gelato. Yet, there were a number of employees in the kitchen. I gave them the benefit of the doubt there were probably tons of dishwashing tasks seeing the number of trays, plates and containers carried in and out of the kitchen doors.
My officemate and I both ordered pasta. I had no complaints about the food although I considered it too bland if not for salt and pepper availability to season pasta depending on taste preference. I found it a bit annoying the time it took to get our orders. The fare was really simple, far from being gourmet-like compared to Amici. Besides us there were about three more people in the restaurant.
One thing which irked my Tutti Dolce evening was when I ordered for a gelato. Since only one person manned the frontline, I had to wait for a long time to get my one single scoop because the server had to take orders many orders, call for orders to be received and everything else. She was very apologetic about.
Oh, I forgot to mention your order doesn’t get delivered to you. You have to get it yourself when called.
Also, just take a look of this gelato:
Does that come close to a single scoop? Take note, the server took a long time to scoop that out because of very frozen gelato. I was just glad enough it wasn’t bland as the pasta I ordered or hell would have opened up and devoured the server.
All in all, it was a simple fare to fill our empty stomachs at the end of a busy day. If only they’d work something out for faster service and well, serve more gelato per order, then all will be good.
